Aftermath of the Alpha Test
Well that’s not really true, because it’s still going. However, after the first 12 hours of the Alpha test with a focused group of people, we got a lot of feedback and found bugs we hadn’t noticed. We started at Alpha .30 and are already at Alpha .32. Rough edges are getting rounder, doors are being made more available, ropes are easier to climb, and so on.
Here’s an example of a fix, brought to our attention by MischiefKnight. The red arrow shows what was the exit to the school. The problem, is it’s not very easy to see. Us on the development team knew where it was so well, that we didn’t even think twice about it. However, MischiefKnight suggested that the door be made easier to see, and voila! We have a door!
A lovely human by the name of Tyton suggested that descriptions of the motifs (spells) you play could fill up this spot. And so, it shall be done!
Someone by the name of DaiNekoIchi found this farce in the grotto. Quite a strange one, considering how many times we tested before, but so important to find, as…it’s just ridiculous.
More testing!! But we’re also careening towards a build with side quests, and then…KICKSTARTER. This way, by the time the Kickstarter is ready to launch, we have a strong demo to offer up.
Thank you everyone who participated in the first section of the Alpha! You’re going to help us make something truly unique and hopefully iconic. Lots more to come!!
More special thanks to, Misterspacecake (who has a Twitch: www.twitch.tv/misterspacecake/) Frederica Irving, Tymec, and anyone else who helped us out! Until next time!!
Bonus. MischiefKnight noticed a sitcom Easter Egg…
